I purchased an actual product key for Windows 10 Home and installed it fully. I chose to use a Windows 10 Pro key from a site hoping for a free upgrade, but now I’m stuck. I just need my regular Windows 10 Home with proper activation.

Performing a fresh setup of Windows 10 Home is likely to succeed, as the previous installation key remains linked to the hardware. Have you explored that repair step before? Occasionally it does help.
