I purchased an actual product key for Windows 10 Home and installed it fully. I chose to use a Windows 10 Pro key from a site hoping for a free upgrade, but now I’m stuck. I just need my regular Windows 10 Home with proper activation.

If the option 'change product key' fails, you may need to reinstall Windows.

Performing a fresh setup of Windows 10 Home is likely to succeed, as the previous installation key remains linked to the hardware. Have you explored that repair step before? Occasionally it does help.

The system prompts for confirmation before accepting the new key, ensuring you understand the implications of changing it.

I can try reinstalling it completely to ensure it works perfectly, without risking your files or settings.

Your system restart didn't resolve the issue.
