Have you verified that the 8-pin CPU connector is properly attached on the motherboard?
I’m not certain if someone assembled my PC, but I think they did.
These connections need to be linked to the PSU for overclocking, covering both the 4-pin and 8-pin types.
Oh man, there seems to be only an 8-pin connector—why isn’t the 4-pin one present? Can I install it myself? And where can I find a 4-pin cable?
Your PSU should include a 4-pin connector. Align it correctly; you’ll see a clip that snaps onto the outside. It fits only in one orientation.
If you’re unsure, take a photo and we’ll confirm if it’s positioned right.
Check the images above—there aren’t any 4-pin connectors, I searched for them but couldn’t find any, just 6+2 or 8 pins.

Remove the 8-pin connector if it's actually a 2x4 pin configuration. Link it with the 4-pin and apply a 6+2 pin arrangement for the 8-pin version.
