occurs frequently without reason, affecting different programs like Steam or others. It hasn't happened much recently. I open Task Manager and end any process linked to what you're trying to start. For instance, I check Task Manager for entries related to Wolfenstein or the publisher. It assumes another instance is running, which would be problematic if you accidentally launch something twice and it deletes everything and restarts. I wouldn't support that behavior, as developers shouldn't handle termination like this. They might ask if you want to end the previous one, but that should be done in Windows, not by the game or app creators.

They also include a prompt asking if you're okay ending it, rather than just proceeding.

It helps you avoid opening multiple tasks at once by letting you pick yes or no, saving you from needing to check Task Manager. It’s especially useful for games that require focusing on one at a time.

It looks like I missed some details in the original post. This feature would be really helpful for those who prefer not to manage tasks manually or who might just restart their system.

It would be great if after a crash, simply clicking the shortcut would let you delete the previous version at once.

Sure, I focused on the program that supports the feature in my update.

That's a simple way to say it. Let me know if you need anything else!
