turn on VSync in the game and disable multi-adapter compatibility. Outcomes might differ depending on GPU—GTX 980, CPU i5-6600k works fine. The problem appears when loading Obs and streaming; frame rate drops to around 24 FPS, then jumps back to 60 FPS during gameplay. It seems the CPU is the culprit. If needed, adjust settings to match those used for Obs.

It doesn't seem smooth and it's unclear whether you're referring to game FPS or stream FPS. The settings to check are:

Are you using OBS with NVENC H.264 as the encoder for Shadowplay? This should shift most processing to your GPU, reducing CPU load. If this is happening, there might be another factor involved.

the game runs smoothly at 60 fps consistently. obs has been experiencing frequent drops, but adjusting settings from the official obs forums resolved the issue. i had to enable vsync in the game to reduce cpu load and disable multiadapter compatibility in obs. now everything is stable at 60 fps. tried these changes, it reduced frame loss but still only reached around 45 fps.
