As I get older, more games become repetitive. I won’t stay a gamer forever; I think I’ll stop soon. Right now, I just want something fun to play. I used to love clubpenguin from elementary through middle school—about three years total. In middle school I played Minecraft for around three years. Now I’ve lost interest. I tried Call of Duty 3, FIFA, and a few others, but after about 20 hours each, I just lose motivation. I’m looking for games that keep me engaged without making me addicted. I’ve played Mafia 3 and Watch Dogs 2, but the stories end quickly and they feel dull afterward. I enjoy sandbox games.

Have you checked out Witcher 3, Fallout 4, or Skyrim? Far Cry 4 is another solid choice. All these games are open world experiences (though Witcher 3 can be a bit slow to reveal its content).

I previously enjoyed club penguin, then Runescape became my focus, and my brother brought me Minecraft during its Alpha phase. Over time, my interest waned, and the only game that kept me engaged was Rocket League. This shift might relate to moving from high school into college, but I find it hard to maintain long sessions of any game to recapture that immersion. Minecraft works best in short bursts—5 to 6 minutes at a time—which suits my style. The fact that I can quickly become absorbed in Rocket League, spending 5 to 6 minutes or more, fits perfectly, though results vary.

The sole game I regularly enjoy is World of Warships. I don’t think I’m missing out on playing others; it appears I struggle to become as deeply involved as before.

I don't really have any. I'm familiar with them, but I didn't think they were worth mentioning. What do you think?

Fallout and Skyrim come from the tech side in a rough way but are fun to try if you don’t mind it. Far Cry 4 is mostly similar to Far Cry 3 but with a new map. Witcher 3 is one of my top picks, definitely worth the cost.

I believe these titles are all excellent choices. Witcher offers an engaging character RPG with solid combat and an immersive narrative set in a richly detailed universe. Initially hesitant due to past experiences, I invested time—playing 16 hours in one session—and found it captivating for two months afterward. Fallout 4 provides a more open-ended experience, letting you bypass the main plot and explore freely after the initial introduction. Its shooting mechanics are solid, and its world feels substantial. Skyrim shares a similar vibe but leans toward medieval fantasy with magic and mythical elements. Far Cry 3 appealed to me for its expansive setting and action, with plenty of mod support for customization. I particularly enjoyed FC4, which builds on those strengths with enhancements. The game features a vast open world, impressive gunplay, and intriguing story elements. While it includes Ubisoft-style collectibles, they’re optional and can be skipped if you prefer. Overall, all three games offer engaging experiences, and each has a strong modding community for further customization.

Fallout 1 was decent, Fallout 2 is solid too, but I’m not sure about Fallout New Vegas. Fallout 4 is terrible.
