If you're looking for JRPGs, the Yakuza series is a solid choice.

It's fascinating you mention Xenoblade. If you're open to emulators, I recommend giving Xenoblade Chronicles X a try—it came out for Wii U. Many think a Switch port will arrive soon, though Monolith Software hasn't commented on it yet. Explore the predecessors like Xenogear and Xenosaga. Another title worth checking is Red Dead Revolver, the PS2 predecessor to Red Dead Redemption.

Played Witcher 1 some time ago, missed the early part of Witcher 2, but I’m ready to try it again. Or maybe Odyssey.

Besides what you mentioned before, I also enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2, Vampyr, The Sinking City, Cyberpunk, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and others you referenced.

I believe Origins offers a more compelling narrative and dates back further, which could mean you'll find a better deal.

I prioritize the gameplay and discovery, which is the essence of Odyssey, as shared by one of my favorite YouTubers, 2KliksPhilip. However, if I wait long enough, I could end up getting both together in a package.

Another title that hasn't been discussed yet could be interesting is Immortals Fenyx Rising. I haven't played it myself, but I've heard positive reviews and have purchased the Gold Edition for PS4. Since I'm on vacation soon, I need an engaging activity to keep myself occupied.

I purchased Odyssey first, then moved on to Origins. The main difference between the two in gameplay is the Spartan kick in Odyssey versus archery and swordplay in Origins. I discovered that exploring Origins was more enjoyable, especially when unlocking pyramid entry methods compared to Greek temples. Valhalla didn’t appeal to me, so I stopped playing it. In both Odyssey and Origins, resources flowed easily from location to location, avoiding repetitive tasks, though Valhalla felt less rewarding.

Thanks for suggesting a game that isn't one of those big-budget hits like RDR2 or Cyberpunk. It seems like most of the imitations of Breath of the Wild are popping up now. I'm expecting a lot more of these in the future.

If you're keen on enjoying smaller indie titles, Cat Quest and Cat Quest II are great choices. I've tried both and found them delightful, fun action RPGs, but they may not appeal to everyone who doesn't like cats or cat-related humor.
