It could be. The Gems function similarly to in-game currency in mobile and F2P games. Because its true worth isn't obvious right away, people often overpay. If someone spends more than 50k on a AAA game (normal price $50, reduced to $25 during sale), they're likely overpaying. I'd cap my spending at around 15k per game. Some older or lesser-known titles (CoH2, Transistor, Grid Autosport) are currently priced near that level. I prefer having several smaller games instead of one large one.
I processed every item and collected 355 gems. Believing it would be valuable, I might secure a few games: the top bids range from 20 to 150k gems ;(
I spent over a thousand with just items. Then I bought nine sacks just for fun. The smaller games are almost the same price or lower than regular sales.
