I have sent back… another budget build for basic gaming?
I constructed a computer some time ago for playing RDR2, which ran well and cost less than 600. I donated it to someone needing a simple gaming setup. The question is, could we build another one with a budget price, decent graphics, no monitor, keyboard, or mouse? Just a dependable mid-range gaming machine. Thanks in advance!

Investigate newer CPU and GPU options; most other elements may stay similar. For example, DDR4 RAM remains useful. However, with Ryzen 7000-, 8000- or 9000-series processors (AM5 socket), DDR5 RAM becomes essential. Regarding Intel, the latest models are 12th, 13th, and 14th generation, all using LGA1700 and supporting either DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. The 13th and 14th gen CPUs have known firmware problems, making the 12th generation the most suitable choice currently. Intel’s 15th generation CPUs (LGA1851) are still emerging, but it’s unlikely they’ll fit a low-end build unless you opt for Celeron or Pentium chips. With 15th gen CPUs, DDR5 RAM is necessary. Thus, your selection of RAM will depend on the CPU you choose—either DDR4 or DDR5—and the compatible motherboard. I’m unsure about the previous GPU; it might stay the same or improve if you find a suitable option within your budget. For instance, an Intel ARC A380 can achieve around 50 FPS at 1080p medium settings. The Nvidia RTX 50-series is also on the horizon, but given Nvidia’s release patterns, low-end GPUs tend to arrive later. For choosing a GPU, see this guide: Power supply unit, case, fans, and LEDs can stay unchanged from the previous build, as they have minimal impact on FPS. SSD, PC case, and other components may also remain similar, though SSDs can slightly influence loading times rather than raw FPS.
