I reduced the gaming laptop's CPU speed from 2.4mhz to 1.7mhz. Now it starts working, the keyboard lights up, the fans are running, but the screen remains blank. Thanks in advance, Joe.

Is there any back-lighting on the screen? Even if nothing appears on the display, try pressing your BIOS key (DEL, etc.).
And what? 2.4MHz??? I think you meant 2.4GHz. And if you're gaming, why would you underclock so low, why underclock at all?
