I've mentioned before: stick to what you can handle and don't wait until completion to judge its value—this is the more secure approach. Huehuehue, I'm proceeding anyways! The M50 isn't in the pledge store right now, but it should be back during the Anniversary sale at CitizenCon. Remember, like any other ship, it will also become available for purchase once it launches.

If you are just wanting to get in and play just pick up a cheap Aurora package. You could then do a cross-chassis upgrade later if you want to go for a different ship. Also, they regularly do free-weekends for players to try-out/test different ships. The M50 is really fun to fly... Although so are all the ships. Even though it might not be very efficient, sending a ship directly or using a shuttle could be a practical option for travel between planets.
