What's the smallest gap between the CPU cooler and the side glass of the case? Is 8mm sufficient?
It works well if it fits. 8mm is close enough but still sufficient. Avoid scratching the glass, that's the main concern.
The cooler must not be crafted from diamond to avoid damaging the glass.
