I'm facing an issue while downloading ARK:Survival Evolved. The error message is "disk write error." I've tried almost everything but nothing seems to work. My computer specifications are i7-8700, RTX2070, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200, and a Samsung SSD 250GB.

Are you certain it’s targeting the 2TB drive library instead of the SSD? Ark uses up a lot of space because of mods, which can push it past 250GB. Unless I should test with a small game like Age of Wonder—free to download—to see if it functions properly.

Yes, it seems it's attempting to install on the 2TB drive. I understand it might take around 250GB, which I already have on my computer. This is my girlfriend's.
I attempted to install TF2 and it worked fine.

Can you copy ARk to an external device and then to hers, and then have Steam locate it?

Sorry to hear about the issues.
Update: I added another cable to the PSU to power the HDD and changed the SATA settings. The NZXT Kraken was still connected via the same cable, which might have caused the problem (though it seems silly). It began downloading a 40GB file and finished successfully. Before that, I thought an update would happen since the game is large, but it didn’t. Instead, it started adding all the free DLCs. I’m not sure what’s going on—it could be some kind of matrix error.
