I own an HP gaming laptop named "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk10000 Laptop PC (8VD49AV)" and am considering replacing its SSD. I’m unsure what type I have and prefer to access it only when necessary to avoid damage. Appreciate your help!

It has a 256 GB SSD, but I wasn't certain whether it's an M.2 or a SATA drive.

M.2 is the standard size. Use PCIe instead of SATA. You can use both PCIe and SATA M.2 devices.
