I recently purchased Sonic the Hedgehog on Steam last night and attempted to play it today. The experience was quite perplexing. When I opened the game, it displayed a window with an unfamiliar title: "Sega Genesis and Mega Drive Classics." That wasn't what I anticipated. Next, I tried connecting my keyboard to a PS3 controller using this link: http://i.imgur.com/7hUdpIa.png. Unfortunately, the system refused to bind the directional keys or explain their functions. Even when launching the game, it only progressed through segments of four different stages without any clear instructions like "Press start to begin." It seems I might have wasted my money. This porting effort appears to be a significant oversight from SEGA.

Seega emulador? Probablemente será más sencillo de ejecutar sin problemas. Oferece acceso a todos los juegos antiguos.

I can't believe this. Playing the game legally on Steam with money breaks my heart. But downloading it from a non-SEGA emu works perfectly. Honestly, this industry is ridiculous. But yeah, I guess that’s what I have to do now.

Stealing the game during purchase isn't necessarily a crime... at least according to my understanding.

It could be related to the PS3 controllers. They work fine when bound directly and as an XInput device in emulation. The lack of a start button prompt suggests it's a universal setup for the app rather than per-game. The original didn't include a 'press start' message either, which might indicate Sega created one specifically for classic titles on Steam. You might have been using a tool or setting that added those features.

I would have avoided it if I’d understood how broken it was. It’s strange that everyone seems to love it, but the reviews don’t match reality. Maybe the earlier versions were different, or the feedback is misleading.

The straightforward approach tends to be the toughest. I believe you were misled by offering a free option.

The controller could not work with those games I own. All my Sonic titles run smoothly on my PC, but switching to another controller didn’t help. I’ve heard about an Xbox 360 controller but not a PS3 one.

I support those who share this view. Legal or not, what’s happening with the FBI? Will they arrest you for downloading something? Is there any real risk of getting in trouble? I’m not sure, but I live in a country where people generally don’t care and nobody is trying to uncover my downloads. How will they track it? Just download it and no one will stop you.
