I recently acquired a computer in a manufacturing setting. I decided to erase it completely by partitioning the hard drive. However, I have an external USB DVD drive and a Windows 10 copy on DVD, but the BIOS isn't recognizing my drive. It only shows [Windows Boot Manager (p1: B56m41bc1dc-27)]... I'm confused.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I have an external USB DVD drive and a copy of Windows 10 DVD, but the BIOS doesn’t recognize my drive.
You can make a bootable USB installer for your operating system using Windows Media Creation Tools; visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10 under "Create Windows 10 installation media."
After installing offline, you’ll need to download the drivers for your industrial machine beforehand. This raises the question of the PC’s make and model. If you can’t find it, check for stickers on the system and share images. Upload them to a platform like Imgur so we can review them.

Activate CSM in the BIOS, which might also be referred to as legacy mode...test.

For any existing system, simply dividing the drive isn't enough; you need to completely erase it. Or, begin with a fresh blank drive. Restart using the USB if possible.

But how does it manage to download or operate when no other signals are present? (USB, cd/DVD drive)

Is there a method to accomplish this via the bios?...that's all I can reach for.

In another operating environment, set up the USB to install Windows 10. Then, investigate how this setup allows booting from the USB drive. Likely involves some BIOS configuration.

I've tested all possible configurations and still nothing. ......I've already performed several system restarts, so I have a solid grasp. Appreciate your response.

Keep in mind...the system operated flawlessly until I chose to split the hard drive. I simply needed a completely new start.
