I struggle to carve out moments for gaming on my PC these days. After work, I often have tasks left and before I realize it, exhaustion sets in, making it tough to enjoy some quality game time. What are your routines like? How many hours do you spend playing each week? Do you keep your schedule organized to balance work and gaming?
I spend my weekdays in the pharmacy from 9 to 5. I usually arrive home around 6 p.m., after finishing chores and other tasks. On weekends, I shift more work to myself and spend time with friends, so gaming likely takes up no more than an hour each day. My thinking is that if you have time for TV, you can use it for gaming. Since I don’t watch TV, the time I save does go toward gaming.
Gaming requires dedication similar to any sport or activity. Even those who enjoy fishing can balance a demanding job by setting aside time for fishing. To play games while working, you must carve out space and possibly cut back on other pursuits, including social events.
I'm a university student this semester. My classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. I usually depart home at 6 AM due to the bad traffic in Hawaii, and I arrive back around 5 PM. I spend about an hour doing homework and then play games until midnight. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I attend classes from 2:05 PM to 5:00 PM, typically getting home by 7 PM. I can only play games from 7 PM to 10 PM because my early classes require it. Fridays have a single class from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and the rest of the day is spent with my computer. On weekdays, I rarely hang out with friends since they're all in the mainland USA.
I spend my time in 40-hour weeks, often playing late into the morning. I wake up early, head to work, and handle all cleaning and chores during my off days. My steam usually works about 80 hours a week. I get minimal sleep unless I’m unwell. After my partner moves in, I think things will shift significantly.
As a student, I usually manage my time well. I spend my breaks studying between gaming sessions.
Sleep? That's a question. And when you ask about "do for a living," you're referring to your job or occupation.
