I finally received my ranking...
I sense your struggle. While I'm on the opposite side, I've been working hard for a week or so to climb the ranks and earn some fun time with friends. My goal is to secure a rank so I can relax and play against people who match my skill level. Before entering, I was fairly experienced and knew what I was doing, which helped me lead my team in the first three games, winning all while scoring well. Recently, over the past four days, I've played nearly seven consecutive matches, and every game I face is against MG II and DMG... It's going to be tough to win those five more games if I keep playing against players who understand the game better than me :3 Well, let's see how it goes.
To mark the occasion, huge skill gaps are evident. Me as Silver. GN1 AK is still on the horizon.
It's a major concern because owning CS:GO lets you play for enjoyment, and being skilled in CS games is impressive.
If you're into pure fun, go for it—this game has modes beyond just competition, and there are community servers too. CS can be a blast, which is why we have options besides the competitive side. Just keep in mind that being MG or higher makes more sense if you're mainly playing GO, since rank here reflects your overall skill using the ELO system used for professional chess.
I'm curious if most players follow this style. I'm not very skilled, but I'm really good at focusing and hitting my whole team solo sometimes. I usually practice with weaker weapons. I've seen a video where I used an SSG08 to take down the whole team in Dust II, but the last guy got hit in the head. Compared to MG2. There are a couple of early clips that stand out—one shows bad teamwork against GN3 because of other players, and my ELO was low since I lost to LE smurfs who are now friends. The other is about my training; it makes sense if you watched the full videos. Overall, ranking to MG1 after beating GN ranks is tough. I usually win against a LE in DM mainly due to quick reactions and aiming, but this isn't something you can maintain in DM—it depends heavily on reflexes and instincts.
