Hello, I once played CoD4 and now most servers are down, so I thought about trying Modern Warfare Remastered. I'm a bit lost—should I buy Infinite Warfare or a separate version? Anyone have any advice?

It was actually the most unsuccessful release in terms of sales for the series, and the attempt to revive it involved bundling the remastered version with other titles.

Steam wasn't created as a separate purchase; it's part of the service they offer.

It could be that back then you couldn't afford it, but now maybe you can... whatever drives Activision's profits... just checking the Steam page shows it might cost more than the real Infinity War game, which is kind of a joke.

Yeah, it's about $40 to play the original CoD4 version still!
