At first, I believed 60 frames per second felt overly fluid and almost too perfect. It quickly became familiar to me.

I've spent many years playing PC games, but I've never changed much about myself.

I used to have a 360 for about eight months, but I wasn’t playing much. My CPU only managed around 20 frames per second at 1080p in most games. I’m thinking about getting an i3 soon.

I still prefer 60fps or 1080p over 30fps or 4K at 60+ fps. Unless the game is strictly limited to 30 frames per second and lacks any real action, I won’t play it.

I want a consistent frame rate, any day of the week. A steady speed is essential; otherwise I’ll lose it.

Perfect smoothness = silk boxers at 30 fps = sandpaper briefs

It might be the fluctuating frame rate that bothers you. The sudden jumps between 30 and 60 make it less smooth. A steady 30 works for me, but it’s not as smooth as a consistent 60. Going with 60 gives a better feel, since your controller inputs appear faster on the screen.

It appears more film-like, yet it becomes uncomfortable during regular use. Constant 60Hz+ throughout the day.
