FPS drops shouldn't be linked to monitor problems unless V-sync is enabled in the game and the monitor's refresh rate is faulty. Use Task Manager to check for background tasks using CPU or GPU resources. Also verify your CPU clock speed with MSI Afterburner. Don't remove Afterburner after checking the clock speed, as there are additional troubleshooting steps we can take.

Are you sure the newest GPU drivers are installed? Visit the site for that:

I've installed them two days ago, but I'm still facing issues. Turning the PC on and off doesn't seem to help. The FPS keeps dropping. Could you check my post and let me know if the monitor might be the cause? Thanks!

Which games are available? Which FPS are you experiencing, and what are the drop rates?
Some titles may cause stuttering when installed on a HDD. Please share your CPU usage across all cores and GPU usage during these drops.
What are your CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming?

Hello, I just resolved my issue. I limited my FPS with RTSS and it really works now. The frame rate and timing are more consistent, and I notice it’s stable. For example, in Fortnite on Epic, I’m at around 80 FPS consistently, only a slight drop of 1-2 frames, which is normal. That means I’m really happy right now. Thanks for your help!
