I've just started playing BF4 and really enjoyed it. Usually I steer clear of multiplayer games, but trying the game made it super engaging. It's performed flawlessly for me so far. Probably because I got it later in the process.
I told my friends I won’t purchase BF: HL because they seem to have essentially created a mod for BF4 and released it for over $60. They might be improving it, but since I’ve owned every version of the Battlefield series, I think DICE’s quality has dropped after Battlefield Bad Company 2. After pre-ordering BF4, I’m really hesitant to buy BF: HL or similar titles from DICE.
I disliked it right from the start. I even tried to voice my frustration on the EA forums, and most agreed. But after the latest update, it seems the game is fully finished and no longer in development. Used to play BF3 seriously, focused on my performance, now I barely care. I often score between 2 and 12, and it’s still the most enjoyable for me. Still, even with BF4 in decent condition, I won’t buy another EA title, not even Battlefront—my frustration with their tactics and profit-driven approach has grown.
