I threw my RAM about five feet down—it was inside the box, and nothing came out. It looks like something might be wrong. Please check the photo of the packaging for clues. Let me know what you see!

It doesn't really matter. Even if it weren't included, it wouldn't be a big deal. It's not very delicate.

It sounds like you dropped your RAM sticks from roughly head height, and it was still sealed in the packaging. If so, don't worry about it. I highly doubt you've caused any significant damage at all.
