You should look for tools compatible with Linux that support booting from a USB drive. Consider using GRUB or a similar bootloader utility to access your C: drive.

Any format will work, so you can use any Windows or Linux disc. It’s always useful to have Hirens available.

You can use any Linux distribution; just make a bootable image and choose Knoppix or Hiren as the installer.
