Is it secure to disable core isolation? Could a hacker inject harmful code onto my PC? My PC is solely used for gaming.
The reasons behind my approach were explored, and I considered how core isolation might connect to hacking. My goal in disabling it is to achieve a specific outcome.
Hey there,
Are you doing this to improve your game performance? The outcomes aren't drastically different whether you enable it or not for most games. A few games see a minor increase in FPS, but it's only a slight improvement. Other titles might offer a small edge in lows, which can help with smooth play. However, neither of these benefits justifies skipping core isolation and memory protection. If you're okay with that trade-off for the tiny gain, then it's up to you.
The main drawback of keeping Core Isolation enabled is that certain outdated drivers might not work properly. The best approach is to request an updated driver from the vendor instead of disabling Core Isolation.
