Hi, I used chatgpt for this since English isn’t my first language. My PC starts normally and shows the ASUS motherboard logo, but immediately the screen goes completely black with no signal. The keyboard works fine and the Windows startup sound is heard. BIOS is functioning properly, but once Windows loads the GPU driver, DisplayPort and HDMI remain black. When it works, the PC runs smoothly for days without issues. What might be causing this and how can I fix it?

I believe the GPU might be failing, or a poor-quality PSU could be leading to issues. Are your BIOS settings current?

my bios is 4604, but the latest is 4632. I didn't realize my psu was low quality. Thanks for the information!

Does the setup start up correctly when using the iGPU on the 5600G? If yes, then the issue might lie with the GPU itself. The PSU could be decent, though not outstanding.

yes, i always remove the gpu during troubleshooting, it would boot into windows without a gpu, then i would put the gpu back in and it would work properly so i'm not sure if it's the gpu issue.

Let's go through the steps together. First, update the bios and clear the CMOS as instructed. Your manual will guide you through this process. For example:

You can watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7q6c2PaZ6Y&t=104s
Once you're done, we can dismiss that option.

The GPU seems outdated and might be malfunctioning. The PSU could also be the problem, so I'd suggest checking it next. If you have another system, test your GPU there to see if it's causing issues. You could also take it to a local repair shop to replace either the GPU or PSU. They might charge a small fee for diagnosis, but it's better than buying a new one without knowing what to replace.

Execute run memtest86 to verify your RAM. You must successfully finish a complete pass without any issues. If the two RAM modules aren't from the identical package, your RAM might not function correctly.
