Over the past two years I've had these PC specs: case, cooler, CPU, RAM, SSD, motherboard, GPU, PSU, and cooling solution. The issue I'm experiencing is that my frame rates aren't matching expectations. Recently I swapped the 3060 Ti for the 4070, yet performance remains low—especially in competitive Fortnite matches. At low settings with overclocking via Ryzen Master, Afterburner, and QuickCPU, I'm seeing around 200-300 FPS. Other builds with similar configurations are hitting 300-400 FPS. I'm getting 200-240 FPS during intense fights. I don't know what's causing the discrepancy... XMP is already enabled for my RAM sticks. Please help me understand.

Checking your CPU with lower cards might not show the real performance because of bottlenecks. Even when compared to an AMD 9 or better, your GPU still handles most tasks well in games like Fortnite.

The hidden answer they’re hiding is in the spoiler below. Spoiler – don’t get tricked by those fartnite benchmarks. Those pretty visuals can be misleading. Re-enable the game’s details. You might want to crank up the resolution. Disable the FPS tracker. Have fun with the real experience.

It's simple to understand. When your CPU can't supply the GPU with enough data, the GPU will run at a reduced power level because the workload isn't sufficient for higher performance. Keep an eye on your GPU's activity.
