You're facing some resistance with your M.2 drive. The black component you mentioned seems to be a locking mechanism, and the screw securing the NVMe drive didn't resolve the issue. Try checking if there are any additional screws or clips holding it in place, or consider using a different method to release it.
The rear side appears to be designed for release, not for pushing downward.
It's probable there are areas to trim on the backside of the board. I've eliminated chipset heatsinks, as comparable designs are being utilized.
