Hey, I see what's happening. It sounds like the power supply is missing from the setup. You mentioned you didn't have a screwdriver handy, so you might need to find another way to secure it properly. Also, double-check that all cables are correctly connected—especially the power supply. If you can get the PSU back in, everything should work again. Let me know if you need more help!

You're asking about the steps taken during troubleshooting. You want clarification on what "tightening" the cables meant, whether you connected or disconnected them, why you opened the PC and started experimenting, and what it means when only the CPU and case fans are functional. You also wonder if the system is unresponsive.

It seems the GPU or PCIe power connectors weren't connected correctly. Also, the GPU fans might not be linked to the device, though that's rare. If the PC powers on but shows no screen, the issue is likely with the GPU itself.

I simply restored them to their original state by reconnecting them as they were before. I didn’t modify any cables, just reinserted them. The reason was that he mentioned his PC would crash sometimes and trusted me more than him, so I did the plug-in again—still nothing happened. In the "only the CPU and case fans work" section, it means the CPU cooler fan and all the airflow fans are functional. It doesn’t power up the CPU, and the GPU isn’t working either. His keyboard won’t light up, so I believe the system isn’t showing any signs of life.

If the PC functioned before and you only changed the cables without fixing anything, there might have been a mistake in reconnecting them. Confirm whether the system was powered off during the process.
