I purchased this new M.2 NVMe SSD for Windows and gaming. I planned a clean installation without transferring data from my old SSD. However, during the setup, Windows would display errors 0x000000 or 0x000098. When I attempted to repair it using a USB with the command prompt, the issue persisted and my drive became undetectable by the motherboard. I’m unsure what to do, as I’ve tried reinstalling Windows multiple times without success.

Did you verify that your BIOS was up to date before inserting the M.2 SSD? Regarding your operating system, where did you obtain the installer from? Ensure no other drives are connected to the system except the one you plan to install your OS on.

Yes, I have the most recent BIOS for the motherboard. I used the Microsoft media creation tool to install a bootable Windows 11 on the USB drive. I also disconnected all drives except the one for installation, but the same issue occurred. I will attempt it again and share a photo afterward.

Confirm whether the new drive uses a GPT partition table instead of an MBR partition table.
