I was considering this and realized we should talk about a topic. I thought it would be nice to apologize for my English. When I download a program, I’m sure it’s safe. My antivirus keeps saying it’s not safe or something. For example, my GTA CD broke and I wanted to play it, so I downloaded a no-cd crack. Every time I restart my PC, it disappears because my virus scanner is removing it. I really dislike those things. And every free antivirus has too many ads. I don’t care if I get infected anymore. I’m not using my bank account on that PC, and all my game saves and school files are stored on a 64 GB USB drive. I use Windows Defender (I don’t know how it’s called in Windows 8). My friends think I’m stupid but I don’t know what they mean. What do you think about this?
I've never experienced any issues with the free AVG... You probably don't require an antivirus unless you frequently download large files or *cough*porn*cough*
Setting up anti-virus protection is similar to attempting to connect the Titanic using a wine cord—most viruses, malware, and threats rely on flash technology, which is full of uncertainty and can hide within nearly any content. Consider this carefully before clicking any links on social media.
I don't want AVG because it adds things to my computer and I'm not confident about it. Windows Defender is a solid antivirus, just make sure you keep it updated. If you really need extra security, try Avast—it works well.
Do you have a 64 gigabit flash drive? Oh well, that's a bit dull.
Aligned with AdamIsaacLang, an antivirus can't catch 75% of malware on a computer used for regular web browsing. Most reliable antivirus options today let you add exceptions. I use Avast and it performs well—it keeps me safe and catches some threats occasionally.
Are you tired? You don’t need to go through this. My idea is... if I’m compromised, I still keep important things safe.
