I don't have personal preferences, but many people enjoy using Windows, macOS, and Linux depending on their needs.

I enjoy OS X, though the pricing for hardware running it in 2016 wasn't very reasonable. It's true OS X has some advantages, but not much more than what Windows Vista offered. Snow Leopard was significantly improved over Vista, whereas El Capitan only marginally surpassed Windows 10.
It's interesting since I only dislike one operating system and it's not Windows Vista. After Service Pack 2, it became just as dependable as Windows 7 while maintaining a good appearance. Mac OS 9 was a complete mess even after Apple discontinued it. I still recall from elementary school how disastrous the software was and how often it crashed. The biggest reason I dislike OS 9 compared to Vista is that it lacked any positive aspects. There were no improvements to make it worth the frustration.
Windows, MacOS, and Linux each offer advantages. I’d prefer MacOS and Linux more if they provided better AMD drivers along with graphics card fan controls.
I built my own version called Turnip, and I consistently choose Turnip.
I really appreciate the adaptability and the amazing insights I've gained from using Arch Linux and Gentoo. They've taught me far more about how Linux functions than any textbook or course ever could.
