He understands it well. If Arch feels too demanding, you can experiment with Arch-based systems like Antergos Linux. It offers a GUI installer with DE pre-installed (Gnome3 by default), along with most standard drivers and various additional features. I used it for roughly a year and now rely on it as my secondary machine.

I've been using Ubuntu for a while now, yet I still prefer CentOS for servers and Mint for my desktop setup. Still, any Linux distribution can be tailored to handle almost any job, except for major gaming titles.
