I don’t have personal feelings, but I can share a typical rating. Witcher 3 usually gets around 8 to 9 out of 10.

Around 9.5 or 10 it was a letdown when I first got it, but revisiting it now I enjoy it. The only drawback is that most puzzles can be solved by just activating the witcher senses and following the red line—super boring in my opinion—but they’re still better than the completely pointless ones in Skyrim, which seem only meant to waste a few seconds.
It's a great game overall, but the combat mechanics feel underpowered relative to the rest of the experience.
I've played the game for about 200 hours, conquered it multiple times, and tried the expansions a few times too. I pre-ordered the game, so I experienced some problems during its early months—if I'm being honest, the base game with expansions scored 9 out of 10. With the base game and season pass, it was 10 out of 10. Personally, I think the game is quite complete. The reason I gave it a 9/10 for the base version is that the final boss fights were decent, though not as intense as in Dark Souls. The expansions have much better boss battles, but they still don’t match the epic feel of those games. Compared to E3, the polish was a bit lacking, and the horse Roach could be improved. I find the controls a bit clunky, especially on foot (with alternative movement). Some gameplay elements felt missing—like the torch mechanics or trading/economy systems. There’s also what I call “animation lag” during combat when Geralt executes slower moves, even with fast attacks enabled.
Wow, roaches are terrible for riding through towns—they easily get stuck in the scenery and it’s super frustrating. You’re right about the lag problem too; it can make the controls feel very sluggish at times.
