These unstable rectangles have appeared multiple times recently, showing up randomly in various desktop programs. Might it relate to Windows 10 or a graphics card issue? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Possible GPU artifacts are likely.

Thanks for your response. I've successfully saved these items, and just as they showed up, BTD6 ceased to reply. Since I couldn't press Win+Shift+S, I relied on my phone instead.

When the problem spans several apps, it probably points to a GPU issue. Sad!

Thank you for your response. It's disappointing if you're correct. I'll attempt DDU again and reinstall the driver. It seems unlikely a 30 series EVGA would fail after two years, though. This might indicate an issue with the software rather than a hardware problem.

It seems like GPU issues might be causing this. Possible causes include VRAM problems. You could run DDU to reset your display drivers and reinstall them. If that doesn<|pad|>, try a fresh Windows install and check if it resolves the issue. If it still happens, a replacement GPU might be necessary. You could also attempt to lower your GPU's memory clock speeds with MSI Afterburner, though it may just postpone the problem. C

Thank you for your message, Chris. The situation seems to be related to a temporary issue rather than a persistent problem. It was an isolated occurrence about a week ago, and after rebooting my PC and updating the latest Nvidia drivers, I ran a stress test with FurMark three times without noticing any issues.

Don't worry, it might have been a driver or software problem. The images you shared showed a typical GPU failure pattern, so it seems the issue should be resolved now.
