You're considering a 3700x base system with Gigabyte motherboards. For VRM performance, the Gigabyte B550 AORUS Pro AX generally offers better power delivery compared to the X570 Aorus.
most boards from the 500-series range support a 3700x stock setup. those at the very low end of the price spectrum usually handle overclocking fine. b550s and x570 models tend to be more advanced overall.
if you obtain a golden chip it might be possible on a less powerful board. the voltage and power needs are what really count for the VRM quality. the aorus boards work fine, but the b550 offers the best value unless you're unusual like me or have several pcie 4.0 drives plus a multi-gpu setup. the b550 pro features 10 or 12 high-quality 50A phases which should easily handle any ryzen processor.
