It's about six months now, and I rarely manage to keep a Windows 10 setup for more than a year before it fails. I'm likely to reinstall when the next update comes out, unless another issue pops up.

I rarely face problems needing a full reinstall, but I frequently swap out hardware and use the chance to perform a clean setup, removing unnecessary files. On my primary system around 2.5 years ago after upgrading the OS and SSD, I did this.

On my desktop I've been using Windows 10 since sometime after its release in June around 2004, which is about a year now. I haven't upgraded much because it tends to fail here. I'm likely to keep going through this installation until late 2024, if 21H2 arrives around November. Alternatively, if I can replace the whole PC, that would be better. The file server is fine with Windows 10 (Education edition only), installed around December 2019, and it worked smoothly until 2004. I don't expect another reinstall unless something major breaks or I need more space. My laptop runs Kubuntu 21.04, which I reinstalled after swapping SSDs, and it's only been a month.

It likely took about two months, though I usually do a fresh setup regularly. I tend to do it once a year or so when I’m actively using the system. Used to do it every semester during university, which meant roughly every four months due to the software updates they provide.

Windows 10 took a few weeks to fix an issue with my HID Keyboard Driver after the 21H1 release. I couldn't use a keyboard at all. Ugh, Microsoft.

Windows 10 LTSB 1607 has been stable since 2016. No major problems reported. It’s okay to use the latest version occasionally.
