I don't have a Windows Experience Index score.
Some other communities mention this, but I think it’s worth joining—since it’s the main software section and sits under the hardware forum, it feels right for us. Anyone interested in a 9.9 WEI? I haven’t seen anyone above 8.9... (Windows 7 max is 7.9, Windows 8 can go up to 9.9). I’ll share my picture once my WEI updates.
Hey everyone, we all know that the WEI doesn't really show how well a machine performs compared to modern benchmarks with newer drivers. Still, it gives a decent sense of the machine's status. It’s also a bit entertaining

Here are the details rephrased:
My WEI is available at the provided link.
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K running at 4.2GHz
RAM: 16GB G.Skill RipjawsZ, 2400MHz
Mainboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 "Windforce"
Storage: 3GB SSD + 120GB Samsung 830 HDD + 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm
Power Supply: Antec HCG-750W
Case: CM Storm Enforcer HSF
Cooling: Deepcool Gammaxx 300
You seem curious about your storage options. What kind of SSD are you considering?
Mine: Hardware details – Processor: Silverstone RV01 CPU i7-3930k @ 3.9 GHz, Motherboard: Asus P9X79, CPU cooler: Scythe Ninja 3 Rev. B, Graphics: XFX HD6950 with 2 GB RAM, Dual fans, Power supply: OCZ ZT750W, SSD: OCZ Vertex3 120GB, RAM: G.Skill 8 GB DDR3-1333, GPU: Ripjawsx
Nice rig! Should try OC'ing your 3930K; you should be able to get over 4.4GHz with that cooler and that should in theory get you 7.9 in Win7 and 8.1+ in Win8 (not to mention a drastic increase in performance!) Of course it's possible it already is OC'd... Windows 7 just fails at benchmarking in general
It looks like the setup was quite impressive. I recall reading about someone on a forum where they had two i7 3960X processors each boosted to 5GHz. They mentioned a processor rating around 9.0, and noted that achieving a 9.9 would take decades for just a small portion of users.

If you switch from Win7 to Win8, you're in trouble
