You need to get a verified copy from the official Microsoft website. Since their site is currently unavailable, look for trusted third-party sources that offer legitimate Windows 7 Pro SP1 downloads. Always verify the seller's reputation and check for secure payment methods to ensure authenticity.

Some sites claim to offer unmodified Windows 7, but it's tough to find a trustworthy one. It took me a lot of effort to locate an unmodified Windows 7 ultimate ISO that installs smoothly without issues (you’ll notice it mentions licensing). Why stick to 32-bit? There’s no point if you want better compatibility with 64-bit programs.

It's challenging to locate them, yet you can still obtain them from the official MS CDN. The links provided correspond to various Windows versions and editions, including SP1 Pro, Pro, Ultimate, and the 32-bit/64-bit options. All files are EN-only and were released around 2018, with updates up to that time including telemetry data.

I'm setting it up on a system with only 2GB of RAM, and the 32-bit version uses less memory.

It should be sufficient. The 1GB requirement was the baseline for a 32-bit Windows 7 system, but it offered very little space for more demanding applications. I think it likely runs a DDR2 model—perhaps a PC or laptop from that time? You might want to upgrade to 2x2GB RAM modules, which are often inexpensive around $15. Unless you intend to play retro games or run old software offline, I recommend installing a system with security updates. Even resource-heavy Linux distributions like Manjaro KDE can function adequately with just 2GB of RAM, especially for basic tasks.
