HI. I'm dealing with a slit issue on my PC that I've never faced before. I recently got a new GPU and RTX 3080, but after a few days the screen would briefly go black and then refresh. It only happens on my main monitor, even though I've tried updating drivers, changing DPS slots, using different cables. The problem seems to appear when opening or closing browsers. Recently, I decided to re-seat the GPU to check if that resolved it, but it still stays connected to the motherboard. During inspection, I noticed a small plastic clip on the PCIe slots melted slightly, possibly securing the board. I moved the clip a bit and it shifted, but the GPU continued working. The only issue is the monitor going black each time I switch or close my browser. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You're thinking about removing the motherboard along with the GPU attachment. That's definitely a viable path.

The image shows a few areas with a shiny finish, suggesting some parts have softened slightly from melting.
