Hello, despite being labeled as a troll, I’m just sharing my experience honestly. My system is fairly new—around 5 years old—with specs like a 5700x 32GB SSD, 3200 RAM on an MSI X570 Edge Max Wi-Fi. I cloned my OS from an older Samsung 840 Pro, but whenever I switch the M.2 drive to primary and play games, it crashes or freezes. The old SSD still works well, lasting days or even weeks. In the event log, the error code is 10010, which I searched online but couldn’t resolve. I even replaced the M.2 drive thinking it was faulty, but the issue persists. My PSU (Corsair Ax1000) seems to be the culprit, though I’m not sure. Could be hardware or power issues. I’m reaching out for advice and any insights you might have. Thanks!

The system doesn't indicate any hardware problems. Could you share the software you utilized for the cloning process?

Perform SFC/scannow on the new drive clone, connect it, unplug the old drive, run scannow, then test by triggering a crash. If that fails, check if the 980 Pro can be installed in different M.2 slots on your motherboard—use another cloning tool if needed.

I just tested the bottom M.2 drive, but now my other storage devices aren’t showing up at all. I’m confused about what’s happening!

Placing it in the M2_3 slot means it shares bandwidth with SATA 5 and SATA 6 ports. If an NVMe port is installed in M2_3, the SATA 5 and 6 ports will become unavailable.

Performing a fresh OS installation on the new drive. It might be a bit challenging, but it should resolve the problem.

It happened because of a faulty cable, but it seems to be functioning properly now. We'll need to load the game to check for freezing or shutdowns.
