I don’t feel comfortable with spiders in video games.
I'm really nervous about spiders in real life, and the same goes for video games. I found the first spiders in Skyrim within an hour or so of beginning, which forced me to quit and install a mod that changed them into bears. In Half-Life 2, those small hopping creatures with four legs make me jump really hard every time they appear. They're not actually spiders, just look a bit like them. I just started playing Salt, an early access game on Steam, and a spider popped up unexpectedly—it really scared me. I was almost closing my eyes to stay alive. When I upgraded my PC this summer for more gaming, I didn't expect this issue. Anyone else face something similar?
I also have a fear of spiders, but I don’t care about playing games. It’s tough to figure out how to handle it.
It seems you once had a strong fear of creepers in Minecraft, avoiding the outdoors and reacting with fear to their hissing sounds.
I don’t fear spiders in games, yet I worry about spider pictures and lifelike toy spiders.
