I really enjoy Windows. Since August—or perhaps a little longer—the blue notification appeared, telling me I needed an update because it would stop functioning. I've attempted several updates but consistently ended up with the same outcome. The system would attempt to update before even starting, displaying a blue screen that warned, “Something went wrong—don’t worry, we’ll restart your computer.” Surprisingly, it wouldn’t restart on its own after a few hours of waiting. Eventually, I had to power it off manually; then it either reset back to the previous version or would randomly turn on and off, eventually booting into BIOS where the old version appeared again.

I tried updating through different methods: Windows Update, the update tool (which handled versions from W10 to W11), and using a USB drive. The USB option might work but would require formatting my drive, which I had to do for months. Recently, I revisited the BIOS update idea. Everything seemed stable until my PC would briefly power on for 10–15 seconds before shutting down again. It would power up the monitor but not display the boot menu. How can I fix this? I’ve cleared CMOS, removed the GPU, swapped RAM slots, waited with the battery out, tried multiple restarts, and even attempted a few more updates. Nothing seems to resolve it.

The persistent blue popup kept appearing every few minutes, costing me at least five matchmaking sessions. Sorry for any confusion—I’m not fluent in English. My specs are Intel 9-9900K, AsRock z390, Taichi 32GB DDR4, some g.skill RTX 2080 Ti, MSI trio HX 750i, Samsung 970 EVO Plus (boot drive), a 1TB Samsung SATA drive. I’m happy to share more details if you’d like.

Yes, I've checked that. What would you like me to do next?

This statement suggests a problem with launching the BIOS window, indicating an issue that needs attention.

Yes, you can access the bios settings while keeping the window closed. You should be able to enter recovery mode, switch to safe mode, or remove the update.
