You seem to have a mouse button set up for pausing and resuming audio, but it’s causing unwanted pop-ups in the top-left corner. Try checking your system settings or mouse configuration to remove or adjust that shortcut. If it persists, consider resetting your audio controls or consulting your device’s help center.

This concept has existed for quite some time, dating back to 2012 with the introduction of Windows 8.

This mouse has been with me for a long time, but it never displayed the annoying box in the top-left corner when I used the pause or resume shortcut.

I don’t really believe what they’re saying, and since my browser warned me about a risky site, I’m choosing to avoid it.

I'm not adjusting the volume using the mouse. When I stop the video as usual, it halts without any visuals appearing. Now I'm considering displaying both the video's rectangle box and the volume simultaneously.

It seems your mouse drivers were recently updated to use a new API for volume control. They chose to send media keys instead of changing the volume directly, likely to avoid compatibility problems with certain sound solutions. This change was introduced in Windows 8 and reflects the Metro interface rather than the Fluent Design found in Windows 10.

However, I haven't made the changes yet. Since the latest Windows update, that part on the top left continues to display;-;

It seems Windows Update might utilize the manufacturer's Microsoft update delivery service, which many hardware makers provide. I remember a method to conceal the volume meter in the registry from a time ago, though I haven’t saved the details. Could be a helpful approach for you.
