In reality, if it doesn't function on the computer upon arrival, that's acceptable.

I'll also attempt the adapter once more before disposing of the LG Drive.

Which optical drive are you employing? Internal SATA or external USB? I possess an internal AM4 PC equipped with one Pioneer BDR-206BK SATA drive, supporting all formats except 4k. It features AM5 and an external LG BE14NU40 USB 3.0 drive, capable of any format. Disregard 4k usage on a PC. 4k is not compatible.

I believe the drive failed, but I have another one arriving tomorrow to attempt a return to Amazon if needed

On the LG WH16NS40 DVD, it indicates 5 volts and 12 volts.
