My connection speed is extremely slow, so I've checked all popular DNS services and my ISP's default works best. I can play online games without issues, but my ping spikes suddenly to very high numbers—sometimes in the thousands. I'm on a 50mbps plan, but latency isn't listed. Thanks.

Execute the ping -t command from your access point and gradually move outward to identify the problem area. This might not be related to your ISP.

It seems you're mainly relying on Wi-Fi. Ping will vary a lot. This is normal. For lower latency, consider using a patch cable.

I don’t have access to a LAN cable since my laptop lacks one, and my Wi-Fi signal isn’t strong enough from here.

The WiFi originates from a router that links to the modem, which in turn connects to the internet source.

You reside on Mars, right? It's completely okay you're staying connected to Earth through the internet. Your latency is quite high. Please come back to our planet so your connection improves! Your profile indicates you're on Mars.
