Hi, I'm attempting to burn an Audio CD but all the software reports success. However, when I play it, it appears blank with no visible marks on the disc. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling them, changing software versions, using various discs and file formats like FLAC and MP3, but nothing works. I also experimented with different speeds and even used x4 speed, yet it still doesn't function. My physical CD drive is in good condition and can burn other media, but the blank result persists. While the drive makes noise during the process, it seems to synchronize with Nero's feedback about tracks being burned. I also tested playing the CD on another drive, but it remains blank. What might be causing this issue?

Consider using a different brand of disks and adjust the burning speed accordingly.

It used to be due to the CD/DVD writer not working properly, or possibly because your CD/DVD isn't compatible with your burner.
Can it burn CDs on another computer?
Does it function when burning a different type of CD?

The model of my CD drive is LG DVDRW 24X SATA and it supports writing and reading CDs and CD-Rs, among other formats. It seems there might be a chance it's been damaged despite minimal use. I plan to test it on another computer tomorrow, but currently Daemon tools shows the burning process as complete and the drive is stuck at 0%. Do you know what that means? Should I just let it finish? It’s been about half an hour and still shows 0%.

EDIT: I left it running, but the data verification failed. There’s a full log explaining the failure, though it doesn’t clarify the issue or offer solutions. Are there other possible reasons besides a faulty CD drive? The drive is only slightly used and is around 2-3 years old. The empty CD-Rs I’m using are new, made in 2021, and are 700MB Silverline CD-Rs...

If this is even a semi modern music CD from any "retail" group it likely has DRM protection in place.
