I'm trying to upgrade my PC with a Gefore GTX 1650, but I'm stuck. I can boot without a GPU, but adding one makes the system crash. I'm using a PBZ68 M Pro and need some guidance. Please help me understand what's going on.

You're likely right about needing PCIe Gen 3 slots. From what I remember, the motherboard supports only PCIe Gen 2.
