I cleaned my PC but it's no longer booting from the main HDD!
Hi, please find some assistance. My ASUS PC running Windows 10 is working fine until I cleaned the dust. (What do they say about it if it ain't broken?) I checked all cables and found the main issue is two old HDDs (Windows 7) attached for backup and libraries. Both boot up, which lets me see the Windows 10 HDD, but scanning/checking shows no problems, yet the system won’t load. I haven’t made a bootable drive yet, but I can’t get the PC to start from DVD or USB either. Since I can reach the problematic HDD via command prompt from another disk, I’m hoping someone can help me diagnose and fix this. Thank you in advance. ASUS usually leads to advanced troubleshooting, but all options just restart, so I’m stuck in a loop. I have limited knowledge but am willing to try anything to get my PC back.
Confirm the setup is accurate.
Does the system use just one Windows 10 installation on the available drives?
If confirmed, the computer will start using solely that drive.
Hello, I thought about trying this. I'm finished with all the attempts, failures, and retries—just doing it again tomorrow and will update you. Cheers
