My system is experiencing an unusual issue.
Recently, when my PC was idle, the display went blank. After restarting, Windows failed to boot. I followed all troubleshooting steps for a Windows boot problem but ended up reinstalling Windows 11.
I managed to boot into Windows and installed the necessary drivers, but after a system restart, the same blank screen reappeared, and Windows still wouldn’t start. I also noticed that the graphics driver installation didn’t complete properly. What might be causing this?

The issue seems linked to the graphics card. After replacing it, the PC works properly, and the Device Manager error disappeared. Drivers from Nvidia also installed successfully. Decide whether to fix the existing card or purchase a compatible replacement.

Is the display completely empty or does the cursor remain visible?

The display is completely black. There is no cursor and no possibility for key presses.

Both options are viable. The 2070 fits that setup. My cousin used his 2600 for many years.

I'm not certain about compatibility, but would you consider increasing it to 3070 or 4070 super?

It depends on your budget and whether the existing card meets your performance needs. Additionally, this upgrade might also require an upgrade to the power supply unit. What is your current PSU model name? You can find it on the info label printed on the PSU or by uploading a photo here. (Upload image to imgur.com and share the link)

That's a good unit.
How much are you willing to spend on GPU upgrade?
