I recently purchased some components for my friend's PC build. I got a gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite, a 16GB G Skill Trident Z RGB setup, and some sleeved cable extensions. During installation, the system wouldn't boot. It seemed like a short circuit was occurring on my motherboard. After many attempts, I finally got it running and accessed Windows. I updated the BIOS and set my Ryzen 5 2600 to 4GHz, which worked perfectly on the previous board. However, I noticed my RAM wasn't performing at its rated speed or latency. Being the smart person I am, I enabled the A-XMP profile in BIOS and saved the changes. After exiting, the Aorus logo appeared on my screen for about half an hour before I powered off the machine. Now, whenever I try to boot it, it fails to pass the DRAM light on the motherboard. I've cleared the CMOS, tried a Corsair Vengeance LX kit, and even used the Trident Z setup, but nothing worked. Please help me out.

If the situation had been avoidable, I’d worry about permanent damage to the motherboard. As a non-expert, I’d verify everything carefully. Swap out memory modules if possible, discharge the CMOS battery briefly, attempt to reset the BIOS to its default settings through trial and error. If nothing helps, take the motherboard to a micro and have them test it.

It seems your mobile device may have stopped working. You should verify where you mentioned the short circuit and confirm there’s no lasting harm.

Have u tried to reset the Cmos? In most mobo you have to short 2 dedicated pins with a jumper, removing the battery is not enough. If there is an error on the Cmos the mobo will seems to be dead, i revived so many PC doing this

I verified that the motherboard was damaged but still functional. The motherboard performed well for several years afterward. Apologies for the mix-up and any stress this caused.
